hi there, i’m Sara.
The heart behind Iris Rose Photography and Iris Rose Weddings & Events.
I started Iris Rose because I wanted to build a life around creativity, connection and things that actually mean something. Photography brought me back to a creative part of myself I had missed and weddings quickly became the place where so many things I love came together: people, emotion, beautiful details and moments you only get once.
Today, Iris Rose has grown into both photography and wedding planning. Whether I’m holding a camera or a timeline, my job is pretty similar. I’m paying attention, staying a few steps ahead and making it easier for you to be present. I care about beautiful photographs, organized wedding days and making people feel comfortable throughout the process. Weddings can be stressful, so I also really value being the person who brings good energy, helps you feel at ease when everything around you feels a little chaotic and reminds you that this is supposed to be fun too. I’m the person reminding you to breathe, making sure you actually eat, pulling hair ties off wrists, getting phones out of pockets and going full bulldog when a vendor or family member needs handling. Once I’m in go mode, I’m probably doing something that technically isn’t my job but absolutely needs to get done.
Outside of weddings, I’m usually with my family, reading something, painting, working out or convincing myself I’m going to have a relaxing evening before somehow finding another project to start. I’m happiest when I’m making something, learning something or planning the next thing I probably definitely don’t have time for. Sitting still has never really been my strong suit.

From timelines and table settings to the little things most people don’t notice until they go wrong, I pay attention to it all. I like knowing what’s happening next, catching things before they become a problem and making sure you don’t have to carry all of that in your head.

Things don’t always go exactly as planned, and I’m very good at adjusting when they don’t. I make decisions quickly, solve problems without making them bigger than they are and handle awkward situations when someone needs to. I’m not afraid to be the person who steps in, speaks up and gets things back on track.

Iris Rose is led by me, so you always know who’s behind the experience. When a wedding or event needs extra hands, I bring in trusted photographers and assistants I know I can rely on. You get the consistency of working directly with me, with the right support in place when the day calls for it.
